One of the best unsigned prospects of the 2019 class is Jamious Griffin from Rome. While he was committed to NC State for a long time, Griffin decommitted Monday evening.
The running back from Rome was named a high school all-american by MaxPreps and USA Today and is ranked as the 15th best running back in the nation by 24/7 Sports. He is also the brother of current Georgia Tech player Jaquon Griffin. Tech has no shortage at running backs, although it’s unknown how well/poorly the current backs will transition to a new offense, but Jamious Griffin would be one of the highest rated players on the roster.
Griffin was Georgia Tech’s first visit once the dead period ended as Georgia Tech’s coaches met with him as the clock struck midnight. He has taken two visits to Georgia Tech recently and is considering Georgia Tech heavily. Griffin said he is going to wait until February 6th (National Signing Day) to announce where he is going but if I were a betting man, I would bet on him coming to Georgia Tech.
